How to create a Newsletter
- Format your text!
Try to establish a list of styles for titles, subtitles, text and links you use. You can use the same combination for paragraphs that are in similar areas.
- Include your logo!
To facilitate the subscriber and the sender connection is extremely important that you find a position of maximum visibility for your logo.
- Unsubscribe link.
Any message that is intended to be considered legitimate (ie non-SPAM) must contain an unsubscribe link that is functional immediately. It is important that the message formatting, including text and background colors used, to help the subscriber to identify the unsubscribe link.
- Simple HTML.
HTML format must be the simplest form: as a port will ensure 100% sure of all email engine sites.
- Do not use too large images!
Adding images too large, ie with a much higher resolution than actually presented in the message, will make harder the reading of messages and disturbing subscribers.
- Make sure all links are valid!
Behavior of a subscriber to check 2-3 times the same invalid link, then, seeing that it does not work, delete the message or even report it as spam.
- Do not underline text if you do not have a link there!
Underlined text within a message is identified as a potential user link.
- Make the connection between title and content!
It is very important that when a subscriber reads the email title to correctly fulfill his expectations related to the content area.
- Excludes scripts and Flash!
JavaScript or Flash scripts can't be run inside the email engine sites.
- Test your message!
You can't check all the above problems just going through the message that you created.
Test message 3 to 4 email accounts from different providers before sending. This way you ensure that the subscriber will receive exactly what you wanted to receive.
